Social Media Posts

As part of the Communications Department at The Ottawa Mission, I had the chance to create social media posts (both graphics and copy) that inform how the organization help people overcome addictions and homelessness, while engaging the audience with positivity and hope.

Healing can begin when we find creative ways to explore and express our own story.

At The Ottawa Mission, we are so much more than a shelter. Through our Addiction & Trauma Services, we offer wraparound supports that help people in recovery rebuild their lives.
As part of our abstinence-based addiction support programs, we offer creative workshops that invite participants in recovery to reflect on identity, gratitude, connection, life perspectives, and future goals.πŸ’

One of these meaningful workshops is β€œMy Life in Pieces: Broken Toy Art Project.” In a supportive and collaborative space, participants breathe new life into broken toys, assembling and painting them into unique sculptures that represent moments, themes, or transformations from their personal journeys.

When the work pieces are complete, participants share their stories, insights, and creative processes. 🧸πŸͺ€πŸ₯

Through art, reflection, and community, they reconnect with purpose, identity, and hope.πŸŽ¨πŸ‘¨β€πŸŽ¨πŸ™
